She is particularly incensed that no one in the West seems to be picking up his cause.

There is a reason there are many chiefs like that in BC: BC did not wait for the laggard feds, but went ahead and settled land claims. It is easy to be a dynamic community once the land and governance issues are dealt with.
Across Canada, 300 land claims have been settled in 30 years. 1052 are waiting to be settled.
This is ridiculous. Those left behind are getting more upset by the minute, as is the United Nations. The feds really have to deal with this on a big scale, and fast.
