My parents got a German shepherd after I left home, and when I came to visit about twice a year, the dog adopted me. I would be her favourite as long as I was there, which I found very touching.; 27 February 2009 at 23:16

Anonymous said...: Yes, they can be very loyal to friends and family. On the dark side, they can also be very jealous as guardian dogs are prone to do. But boy, with the right training from the right owner they can do amazing things.

You will find a few breeds as loyal as the German, but none more loyal. Or for my taste, beautiful.; 28 February 2009 at 08:40
