Good news files: heroes among us

A man in Calgary braved smoke and flames to waken his neighbours in their burning house. Everyone escaped without injury and the Fire Department wants to nominate Sean Hoyle for a medal. You see? There still is good news out there.

Now somebody should tell those neighbours they should quit smoking...

So you are saying we shouldn't smoke 'em if we got 'em.

I love stories like this, of average, everyday heroes.

It doesn't matter how the fire started or what happened. I am just glad that the Calgary man (My fiance) got the family out safe and sound. To each their own and for some people, they aren't aware the consequences. Kudos to Sean Hoyle and Harley! God love them as much as I do! LOVE YOU SEAN!

Travis, just saying they should have been more careful with their stubs. But yeah, better not to smoke them at all. ;o)

Janna, I do too. That's why I like to pass these things along, especially when most of the news is depressing.

Anonymous, be proud of your man! He done good. It's so nice to see people who will put themselves into danger for a neighbour. I hope he gets the medal.
